On Monday, November 10th, The Digest released the 2014-15 rankings for: The 50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy; The 30 Hottest Companies in Renewable Chemicals and Biomaterials; and The 40 Hottest Smaller Companies in the Advanced Bioeconomy.

Yulex is #5 this year in the 40 Hottest Smaller Companies in the Advanced Bioeconomy and #28 in the 30 Hottest Companies in Renewable Chemicals and Biomaterials.

“With guayule, Yulex pretty much started from nothing in terms of recognition a few years ago — but this year, Yulex has demonstrated that genetics are key, guayule is hot, and that small companies continue to drive the innovation that is making the Advanced Bioeconomy both exciting and important” – Jim Lane, Editor & Publisher of The Digest.

The Rankings are one of the most-widely cited Rankings sets for any industry. More than 1,000 companies are eligible from the global advanced bioeconomy. 50% of the votes come from an invited panel of 140 selectors around the world — CEOs, investors, scientists, consulting engineers, media and other stakeholders. 50% of the votes comes from Digest subscribers, via Photo Votes and polling.

PhotoVotes represented 1% of the overall ballot weighting, however Yulex learned that its photos certainly made an impression on voters.
